In this pilot program, students will build, program, and race an autonomous flying drone through an aerial race course. These students, working with advanced sensors and processors and implementing computer vision techniques, will demonstrate and perhaps even innovate the cutting edge of airborne autonomy.
View EventThe final race is held in the MIT Johnson Ice Rink. A wide variety of challenges will require that a range of behaviors be implemented to allow the vehicle to make high-level decisions based on visual perception in order to complete a circuit of the track.
